Pilot ApplicationsAt this early stage in the project, the pilots have not been specified and thus the information on this page is rather general. The content will be updated after some progress has been made on this front. Trading and investmentThe complete process that leads to the application pilots for trading and investment proceeds in three distinct phases. First, with the help of the design and evaluation framework, we are going to identify suitable tools and methods for cognitive, behavioural, and emotional data gathering. Second, we will gather empirical and experimental evidence on salient aspects of decision making and those characteristics of decision makers that can be potentially improved by our learning applications. Third and last, we shall identify – for trading and investment each – the most promising alternative among different the options of possible applications, and then design, implement, deploy, and test these pilots. Financial capabilityResearch activities and technology developments that lead to the pilot for financial capability cover five separate steps. First, the research team is going to propose an actionable and communicable working definition of financial capability. Second, we will identify key characteristics of capable decision making and their main determinants. Third, suitable research tools and methods for data gathering have to be selected. Fourth we will gather empirical and experimental evidence on attitudes, behaviour, and so on using these research tools. Fifth, we shall identify the most promising candidate for the financial capability learning application, and design, implement, deploy, and test the resulting pilot. |
